Camp Patriot Animal Rescue & Sanctuary

About Camp Patriot Animal Rescue & Sanctuary
Welcome to Camp Patriot Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, a place where animals in need find safety, love, and a second chance at life. Founded by lifelong animal lovers Nick Jongebloed and Tara Ballard, our sanctuary is more than just a rescue—it's a dream come true, a promise kept, and a commitment to providing a safe haven for animals who need it most.

Camp Patriot is a highly credible, mission-driven not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, officially recognized by the IRS. With our Employer Identification Number (EIN) 33-1734970, established on November 13, 2024, we uphold transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of integrity in serving both our community and the animals entrusted to our care.

Currently, we provide care for a diverse group of rescued animals, including dogs, cats, pigs, goats and chickens.
Each animal has its own unique story and deserves a loving environment to heal, grow, and thrive. Our sanctuary offers both foster care and permanent sanctuary for animals requiring long-term support.
How You Can Help
We can't do this alone—your support is vital in continuing our mission.
Here are ways you can make a difference:

Make a Donation
Your one-time or recurring donation directly funds animal food, vet care, and sanctuary maintenance. With monthly costs in the thousands, every contribution helps provide the best care possible for our rescues.

Volunteer
We are always in the need for qualified volunteers! Whether it's walking pups, cleaning kennels, helping with social media and other projects - email us if you'd like to help!

Donate Food & Supplies
We are always in need of food and supplies. You can easily support us by ordering from our Chewy Wishlist.
ARFSS
Animal Rescue Food Supply Solution

In addition to our direct rescue efforts, we’ve created the Animal Rescue Food Supply Solution (ARFSS)—a regional pet food and supply distribution program designed to assist under-resourced rescues, shelters, and pet owners throughout western North Carolina and surrounding areas.
We are fully equipped to serve as a distribution hub and have:
-
Over 700 square feet of dedicated storage space
-
A forklift and loading dock, ready to handle semi-truck deliveries
-
Established relationships with a growing network of verified rescue partners and foster homes
-
A structured and accountable system to ensure food and supplies are distributed responsibly and effectively
While we have the infrastructure and growing demand in place, we are currently seeking consistent sources of food and supply donations to bring this vision to full capacity. Please contact us if you have resources or ideas to help us bring this vision to life!
